What Do The Planets Mean On Snapchat Plus?

Snapchat+ has a number of features that are exclusive to members of its new premium service.

One of these features is the ‘Friends Solar System’ which allows you to see where you rank based on the planet assigned to you.

what the snapchat plus planets mean

Your top 8 friends on Snapchat are assigned a planet based on how much they interact with you.

If you are someone’s top friend then you will be assigned Mercury, the closest planet to the sun.

Is Snapchat's Solar System a good feature?

How To See The Friends Solar System

In order to see the Snapchat Planets and work out where you rank in a friends solar system you need:

..if you have all this in place head to your friends’ profile and underneath their Bitmoji image you will see either a ‘Best Friends’ or ‘a ‘Friends’ badge with a gold border.

  • Best Friends: Means you’re both one of each other’s top 8 friends (the planetary positions)
  • Friends: Means you’re one of their top 8 friends but they’re not one of your top 8.

If you click on this badge it will show you the planet you have been assigned.

Snapchat Plus Planets Order

The planets on Snapchat+ (and also in the actual solar system) are in this order, with the Mercury being closest to the sun, and Neptune being furthest away:

  1. Mercury
  2. Venus
  3. Earth
  4. Mars
  5. Jupiter
  6. Saturn
  7. Uranus
  8. Neptune

So if your friend is the sun and you’re Venus in their solar system then you are their second closest friend based on Snapchat interactions.
