1. Changeable App Icon
Snapchat’s default app icon can be changed if you’re a snapchat+ user.
With 44 different icons to choose from you can personalize the icon to match your own style.

One downside to this feature that I discovered myself is that it now takes me ages to find the app on my phone as I don’t recognize the icon anymore!
2. Changeable Theme Colors
You can also change the theme colors.
You can change the appearance of the capture button to different colors, a fidget spinner, a diamond, various balls and other options.

You can also change the color of the recording frame.
For example in the image below I changed the recording frame to green and the capture button to a fidget spinner:

3. Post-View Emoji
This feature allows you to select an emoji to show by default to friends immediately after they view any snap you send them.

4. Pinnable #1 Best Friend
They will stay at the top of your friend list in the pinned ‘Best Friends’ spot even if you talk to someone else more.

5. A Snapchat+ Badge On Your Profile
The snapchat+ badge appears next to your name on your profile.
It looks like this: ✪
It’s an easy way to tell if someone has Snapchat+.

If you don’t want everyone to see that you’re a Snapchat+ user it can be turned off in the settings menu.
6. Friends Solar System
The ‘Friends Solar System’ assigns your top 8 friends on Snapchat a planet based on how much they interact with you.
There are 8 planets you can be given, their closeness to the sun shows you how close you are to your friend.
For example, if you are someone’s top friend then you will be assigned Mercury, the closest planet to the sun.

In order to see where you rank in a friends solar system you need:
- To have joined Snapchat Plus.
- You and your friend must have a linked Bitmoji.
- To know what each of the planets means.
7. Story Rewatch Counter
If anyone rewatches one of your stories you will see this emoji 👀 underneath it, next to the emoji is a number that tells you how many times the story has been rewatched (this is not a view counter but a rewatch counter).

8. Ghost Trails
Snapchat+ allows you to view your friend’s location history over the past 24 hours.
To view a friend’s Ghost Trail simply click on their Bitmoji on the Snap Map.
You can clear your own Ghost Trail by toggling Ghost Mode on and off in your Snap Map settings. You can also choose to temporarily share your live location with others, in which case your Ghost Trail will only be visible to those you choose to share it with.
Ghost Trails are only available for friends who have enabled location sharing with you, are in a country where Snapchat+ is available, and are using Snapchat version 11.85 or newer.
9. Priority Story Replies
As a Snapchat+ subscriber, your replies to public stories are given greater visibility giving you more chance of getting a reply.

10. Custom Notification Sounds
Snapchat+ gives you 6 new notification sounds. These can be set up to trigger for different friends.
The sounds are called:
- Alien Amulet
- Bottle Pop
- Fairy Glass
- Log Goblin
- Melody Beach
- Mini Drop
You can hear what they sound like and how to change them in this video:
11. Bitmoji Backgrounds
With Snapchat+ you have access to customizable Bitmoji backgrounds.

You can also choose a variety of poses for your Bitmoji.

Your Bitmoji background will appear in your profile header.

12. Customizable Chat Wallpapers
If you go to a friend’s profile you can set a custom chat wallpaper for your chat.

You can either choose one of Snapchat’s suggested wallpapers or you can upload your own image from your camera roll.`

13. Changeable Story Timer
If you’ve used Snapchat you’ll be well aware that Snaps usually expire in 24 hours.
With Snapchat Plus you are given control over when your story expires.
You can set your Snaps to expire after..
- 1 hour
- 6 hours
- 12 hours
- 24 hours
- 2 days
- 3 days
- 1 week
To set a timer on your story all you need to do is take a Snap and press ‘Send To’, then select ‘My Story’.
