How To Tell If Someone Unadded You On Snapchat

You won’t be notified when someone on Snapchat unadds you but you can quickly find out by going to their profile.

If you can’t see their snap score on their profile then there’s a good chance the person has unadded you.

How To Tell If Someone Unadded You On Snapchat

Follow the step-by-step guides below to find out if someone has removed you on Snapchat:

1. Check Their Snap Score

Snap scores can only be seen by friends so if you can’t see someone’s snap score, they have unfriended you.

In addition to their snap score, you will no longer be able to see your Snap streak (if you had one), saved snaps, or their zodiac sign.

Follow these steps to check someone’s snap score:

  1. Open Snapchat & Tap The Search Icon

When you go onto the app you can easily search for an account by tapping the icon on the top left corner (next to your profile icon).

tap the search icon

Tapping this will open the search page.

  1. Type The Person’s Username

Search for the person’s Snapchat username and click their Bitmoji to go to their profile.

  1. Check Their Snap Score

From here you can look at the person’s snap score and other information. If you cannot see this, the person has unfriended you.

If you can see their snap score, you’re still friends.

2. Check Your Friends List

Another way you can see if someone has unadded you is to take a look at your friends’ list. If someone has removed you, they won’t show up on this list.

  1. Open Snapchat & Head To Your Profile

Open Snapchat and press the profile icon on the top left. This will take you to your Snapchat profile.

  1. Click “My Friends”

There will be a few options here but you want to go down to the friends’ section.

tap my friends

Click “my friends” and it will open your friends’ list.

  1. Check Your Friends List

You can now either scroll down your list or use the search bar to type in the name of the person you think has removed you.

If you find the account in your friends list then you are still friends with them.

If you cannot find the account of the list, they may have unfriended you.

3. Send A Test Snap

A test snap is simply sending the account a snap and using this to see if the snap shows as “pending” rather than “sent”. If it is pending, they have deleted you.

  1. Open Snapchat & Take A Snap
Take a snap of anything then tap ‘send’.
  2. Search For The Person’s name
Search for the person’s name in the ‘Send To..’ box at the top.
  3. Tap Their Name And Send It
Tap the send arrow to send the snap.
  4. Once Sent, Refresh The Friends Page
On the friends page, you’ll see the person’s name at the top of the list with a red arrow showing the snap has been sent.
Refresh the page two or three times.
Once you refresh the page a couple of times, you may see the red arrow turn grey with a “pending” note.
This means you are no longer on the person’s friends list.
If after refreshing the page, the arrow remains red, your friend hasn’t unadded you.

4. Check Your Conversation History

If you’ve chatted and snapped with the person on Snapchat before, you should have a conversation history with them.

Look for their name in your chat list and if they are not there, they may have removed you or deleted their account.

  1. Open Snapchat

Open the Snapchat app and then swipe to the right to open the chat page.

  1. Scroll Through Your Chat History

The chat page shows your recent conversations and everyone you’ve recently snapped with.

Scroll down and see if the person is on the list.

  1. See If Their Name Is Still In Your Conversation History

If you cannot find the person and your previous conversations, it is likely the person has removed you as a friend.

If you have a lot of conversations and don’t want to scroll through your history, you can try to send the person a message instead.

If you are not able to message them, they may have unadded you.

If you do message them but they have unadded you the conversation will say “Your snaps and chats will be pending until (the account) adds you as a friend”.

5. Check Your Story Views

This is not the most efficient method but it can be useful at times.

  1. Open Snapchat

Open the Snapchat app and swipe left to go to your stories.

  1. View Your Story

Tap “my story” and then swipe up to see who has viewed the story. If your story has less than 200 views you will see the names of the people that viewed it.

  1. Look For The Person’s Name

If the person who you think has unadded you has viewed your story their name will be on the list. If their name appears in the “other snapchatters” section of the viewers then it means they have removed you as a friend.

In this case, it is likely they viewed your story before removing you and that is why they still appear on your viewer list. The other possibility is that your story privacy is set to “everyone” so they can still view it even after removing you.

If Someone Deleted You On Snapchat Does Their Bitmoji Disappear?

If someone removes you on Snapchat, their Bitmoji may disappear but this is not always the case.

However, if they block you, or delete/ deactivate their account then their Bitmoji will definitely disappear.
When someone deletes you on Snapchat you will not be able to see their private stories or their snap score.

Depending on their privacy settings, you might not be able to send them snaps or messages anymore either.
There have also been several Snapchat glitches in the past that have meant people’s Bitmojis have disappeared and Bitmojis can disappear when there is a network connection issue too.

Due to this, the disappearance of a Bitmoji does not necessarily mean someone has deleted you.
